JoinBay Care as a Histologist
As a Histologist , youāll play a key role in preparing tissue specimens for diagnosis, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Process tissue from fixation to final slide, including special stains and techniques
- Maintain required files, records, and documentation for compliance
- Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
- Stock and manage laboratory supplies
- Use medical terminology and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Certification & Licensure
- Required: Histology Technician or Histology Technologist License
- Preferred: ASCP certification
Education
- Required: High School diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Technical degree in Histotechnology or Associateās in a related field
Experience
- Preferred: 1-2 years of laboratory experience
