Advent Health Surgery Center Wellswood : is looking to add a Medical Assistant Surgical who is a team player to our Outpatient GI Center! As a Medical Assistant Surgical at Advent Health Surgery Center Wellswood, you will have the opportunity to work alongside highly-trained physicians who specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and liver disease.

You will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch care by providing consultations and services in a clear and understandable manner, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible treatment.

While we work collaboratively as a group, each patient is assigned a dedicated gastroenterologist, ensuring personalized care and attention.

Medical Assistant Surgical at Advent Health Surgery Center Wellswood :

The Medical Assistant Surgical is responsible for various clinical duties throughout the perioperative setting in accordance with the Standards of Practice and Policies and Procedures.

• Nurses and physicians in patient care as needed
• Pre-op and Post-op patient flow
• Operating Room procedures
• Instrument reprocessing
• Monitoring supply inventory levels
• Maintaining electronic patient medical records
• Light clerical duties as necessary
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment according to industry standards

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Current CPR certification or will obtain upon hire
• One year experience in a medical environment preferred.
