CLINIC ADMINISTRATOR (CA)

FLSA: EXEMPT

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the center staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving complex issues or discrepancies.
  • Monitor the team's productivity and provide regular feedback to ensure high performance.
  • Ensure the team adheres to SCHC principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinic operations to maintain efficient patient flow and high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows to promote patient-centered, high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure clinic operations are aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Enhance patient experiences by improving access, minimizing wait times, and addressing patient concerns effectively.
  • Develop programs that support underserved communities, contributing to improved health equity.
  • Lead quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including HRSA, OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards, preparing the clinic for audits, inspections, and agency site visits.
  • Stay current on industry standards and incorporate regulatory changes as required.
  • Develop and manage the clinic budget to ensure efficient use of resources, cost-effectiveness, and effective billing and reimbursement processes.
  • Partner with the finance department to oversee the revenue cycle and identify potential grants and funding sources to support clinic operations and programs.
  • Represent the clinic in the community by building relationships with local organizations, healthcare providers, and public health agencies, and coordinating outreach efforts to promote clinic services and public health initiatives.
  • Support the FQHC's commitment to addressing social determinants of health and advancing health equity.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting in line with FQHC standards, monitoring performance metrics, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide regular reports to leadership and the Board of Directors, summarizing clinic performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supervise front office operations, data entry processes (e.g., patient payments, third-party transactions, demographics), and building maintenance.
  • Oversee patient registration, financial counseling, appointment scheduling, and medical records management.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support the centers.

  • "Super User" for current EMR system and attend scheduled meetings as assigned.
  • Must be able to effectively manage workflow and maintain high-quality standards in environments where staffing levels may be below ideal, demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate with the team under pressure.
  • Ability to use office equipment, including computers, copy machines, fax machines, telephones, calculators, and more.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Health is required.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Public Health is preferred.
  • At least two years related experience required.


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to travel to various center locations as required
