The Portfolio Manager Oncology for the Oncology programs will drive priority program execution against agreed milestones and budgets and communicate risks and mitigation options in a manner consistent with Moffitt’s core values. The Portfolio Manager Oncology will work in close coordination with principal investigators and other leaders to develop the program plan and to ensure delivery. The Portfolio Manager Oncology will support a cross-departmental, highly matrixed, fit-for-purpose team consisting of people drawn from Moffitt’s faculty and staff bringing expertise in translational medicine, clinical development, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, clinical pharmacology, clinical biomarkers, manufacturing, non-clinical sciences, and others to deliver against an ambitious program strategy.
MinimumExperience Required
Masters degree with 5+ years' experience or MD or PhD with 5+ years' experience in project management for therapeutic, device, or diagnostic. PMP Certification strongly preferred.
Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required- Strong ability to lead cross-departmental teams; engage senior leadership, external advisors
- Proven experience managing the people, processes, and business priorities of professional projects
- Skilled at building and communicating cross functional, interdependent timelines; identify and manage critical path activities and budgets; identify risks and develop risk mitigation plans
- Ability to build strong relationships and be able to exert influence without authority across many diverse departments.
- Must be adept at working in a dynamic and fluid environment and foster a strong collaborative spirit internally and externally.
- Strong written and oral communication skills as well as demonstrated organizational aptitude
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic, cross-departmental matrixed environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Late-stage research and/or early drug development project management
- PMP certification
