We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Blue Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center at Fletcher in Tampa, Florida. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in our mission to provide exceptional rehabilitation services to our patients.

About the Role:

As a COTA, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to design and implement individualized treatment plans that promote patient independence and functionality. Your expertise will focus on helping patients develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills, as well as adapting to physical or cognitive changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed occupational therapists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans
  • Conduct occupational therapy interventions and treatments, including exercise, activities of daily living (ADL) training, and cognitive retraining
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the occupational therapist
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Association of Occupational Therapy Assistant (AOTA) approved education program
  • Ability to lift, transfer, or move patients as needed
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
