The Vineta Hotel -

Missions

The Barback is responsible for supporting the bar operation with efficiency, precision, and attention to detail, ensuring bartenders can focus on creating memorable guest experiences while maintaining the impeccable service standards expected in an ultra‑luxury hospitality environment.

Profile
  • Provide excellent customer service for our guests, maintain a clean and organized bar.
  • Prepare and set up bars before service, ensuring all products, garnishes, tools, glassware, and supplies are fully stocked.
  • Replenish liquor, wine, beer, mixers, syrups, ice, and other beverage ingredients throughout service.
  • Assist bartenders with drink preparation tasks as directed.
  • Ensure all stations remain organized, functional, and fully equipped during operating hours.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to the bar manager.
  • Anticipate operational needs to ensure uninterrupted and efficient guest service.
  • Support the service team in maintaining an elevated and refined guest environment.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests when interacting directly with guests.
  • Demonstrate a service philosophy focused on luxury, personalization, and attention to detail.
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness standards throughout all bar areas.
  • Polish glassware, bar equipment, and service items to ensure flawless presentation.
  • Remove used glassware and service items promptly and discreetly.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.

What you bring
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, cocktail bar, or upscale hospitality environment.
  • Strong understanding of bar operations and beverage service.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and transport beverage supplies, kegs, cases, and equipment.
  • College degree in Hospitality Management preferred or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; other languages considered an asset.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during a shift.
