Human Resources Generalist

Permanent, Full-Time – Pioneer Medical Group – Corporate Office, Tampa, FL

As an HR Generalist, you will support day‑to‑day operations of the People Operations department. Your focus will be on recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, audits, and performance management while ensuring all HR practices align with organizational goals, healthcare regulations, and employee engagement priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in full‑cycle corporate recruitment: job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with the CPO to develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employment laws guidance.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure payroll and HRIS data are accurate and up to date.
  • Support employee relations initiatives, including conflict resolution and investigations.
  • Administer benefits during open enrollment, eligibility tracking, and new‑hire education.
  • Facilitate performance review cycles, including scheduling and tracking of evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to HR.
  • Coordinate HR training sessions and new‑hire orientations.
  • Participate in employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
  • Generate HR metrics and reports as needed.
  • Perform additional assigned tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Discretion in handling confidential matters.
  • Attention to detail, especially with records and compliance.
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making aptitude.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Comfort with handling multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
  • Commitment to cultural competency in diverse teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required).
  • PHR certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and ADP (plus).
Working Conditions
  • Hybrid work setting: both in‑office and remoteli>
  • Fast‑paced environment collaborating with clinical and administrative teams.
  • Occasional travel to healthcare facilities.
  • Regular physical activity: walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
  • May lift or move equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain composure under stress.
