Position: HR Business Partner (HRBP)

Position Summary:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) provides strategic and operational HR support to designated departments by partnering with leaders on workforce planning, employee relations, staffing, training documentation, HR compliance, performance practices, engagement, and communication. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees and managers within assigned departments, ensuring processes are executed consistently and in alignment with company policies, culture, and operational needs.

Essential Functions:

Employee Relations & HR Support

  • Serve as the first HR point of contact for employees and supervisors within assigned departments.
  • Support employee relations documentation, follow-up actions, and escalation procedures while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Assist leaders with corrective action processes, documentation standards, and performance expectations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely HR documentation for investigations, employee files, attendance issues, and coaching sessions.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Partner with hiring managers to support job postings, applicant review, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
  • Support onboarding activities, ensuring new hires complete required documentation, training, and orientation steps.
  • Maintain communication with new employees and managers during early employment stages to support retention.

Training, Development & Compliance

  • Track required training, maintain documentation, and support managers in achieving training compliance.
  • Assist with coordination of training programs, including scheduling, materials, and follow-up documentation.
  • Maintain policy acknowledgment records, compliance files, and HR documentation to prepare for audits.

Attendance, HRIS, and Workforce Administration

  • Support attendance documentation, corrective action processes, and related communication with managers.
  • Maintain employee data changes in HRIS/timekeeping systems and ensure accuracy of records.
  • Assist in department-level workforce planning by monitoring staffing levels, turnover, and skill gaps.

Engagement, Culture & Communication

  • Support employee engagement initiatives including surveys, communication routines, and follow-up actions.
  • Partner with managers to improve team communication, address workplace concerns, and elevate employee experience.
  • Support safety communication practices and help ensure consistent documentation and follow-through across assigned departments.

HR Reporting & Metrics

  • Assist in preparing HR dashboards, weekly reports, and monthly people metrics for leadership review.
  • Monitor trends in attendance, turnover, training progress, hiring activity, and employee relations.
  • Escalate risks and provide insights to HR leadership to support timely decision-making.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Ability to perform HR administrative and advisory responsibilities with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills for working with employees, managers, and HR leadership.
  • Ability to interpret HR policies, support documentation standards, and guide leaders through HR processes.
  • Solid organization, multitasking capability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build trust with employees and leaders while balancing HR compliance requirements.
  • Foundational knowledge of employment practices, training documentation, and HR recordkeeping.

Education & Experience

  • HR experience in a generalist, coordinator, or HRBP capacity; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with HRIS/timekeeping systems and HR documentation practices.
  • Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and administrative skills.

Working Environment

Primarily office-based with regular time spent supporting employees and managers on the production floor. May require flexible hours during hiring pushes, investigations, or urgent employee relations matters.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and computer use.
  • Occasional travel between departments, buildings, or production areas with PPE.
  • Occasional lifting of up to approximately 25 lbs (files, materials, training supplies).
