Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist to support high-volume recruiting initiatives in a fast-paced staffing environment. This role partners closely with hiring managers to forecast staffing needs, develop sourcing strategies, and build strong candidate pipelines across a variety of healthcare roles.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with no guaranteed conversion. Candidates must reside in the Tampa, FL area or surrounding West Florida region (Lakeland is the furthest east location considered). Onsite presence in Tampa is required multiple times per month.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with hiring managers to forecast staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies
- Manage a high-volume requisition load (2,000+ requisitions in a fast-paced environment)
- Source active and passive candidates through Linked In, job boards, networking, and other tools
- Conduct phone screens and behavioral-based interviews (Hire Vue experience a plus)
- Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines
- Educate hiring managers on labor market trends and competitive intelligence
- Prepare and extend offers, including compensation discussions and negotiation
- Anticipate and manage candidate objections and counteroffers
- Maintain accurate documentation in Applicant Tracking Systems
- Track productivity metrics and ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded
- Partner with coordinators to ensure timely interview scheduling and onboarding
- 2+ years of recruiting experience (Staffing Agency experience strongly preferred)
- Healthcare recruiting background required
- Experience supporting larger organizations preferred
- Proven ability to manage high-volume requisitions
- Strong sourcing skills, especially passive candidate outreach
- Proficient with Applicant Tracking Systems
- Strong Linked In presence and sourcing expertise
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong business acumen and recruiting fundamentals
- Ability to handle high rejection/churn environments with resilience
- Must reside in Tampa or surrounding West Florida area
- 3–4 years of recruiting experience (junior recruiters with stable tenure considered)
- Experience working in contract-to-hire environments
- RPO experience preferred
- Experience with video interview platforms such as Hire Vue
