Payroll Manager

A fast-growing, private equity-backed organization is seeking a Payroll Manager to own payroll operations across a multi-entity environment.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role for someone who enjoys building processes, improving systems, and taking full ownership of payroll from end to end.

• Manage and execute payroll processing across multiple entities and states
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Own payroll-related configuration and administration within the HRIS/HCM platform
• Reconcile payroll data, deductions, taxes, and employee records
• Process garnishments, benefits deductions, and payroll tax requirements
• Develop and improve payroll processes, controls, and documentation
• Support payroll integration efforts related to business growth and acquisitions
• Partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders to resolve payroll-related matters

• 5+ years of end-to-end payroll experience
• Experience managing payroll across multiple entities and/or states
• Strong understanding of payroll tax and compliance requirements
• Experience with HRIS/HCM payroll systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
