Service Now Systems Engineer position based in Tampa, FL supporting USCENTCOM IT Services (CITS) Program.
Responsibilities- Responsible for Service Now system maintenance, workflow development, bug fixes, enhancements, upgrades, and assisting with the technical implementation of the tool.
- Experience implementing Service Now system solutions in a Linux environment.
- Proven ability and knowledge of Service Now integrations with other systems.
- Experience implementing and supporting ITOM and ITAM applications including discovery, asset management, service mapping patterns, and event management.
- Monitor system stability to prevent service degradation or interruption; conduct risk assessments to identify potential gaps.
- Knowledge and experience supporting relational databases such as Maria
DB, including installation, optimization, indexing, and coding. - Assist with the configuration and maintenance of Service Now Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) modules with expertise in Agile Development, along with Demand, Project, Portfolio, and Resource Management.
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports to provide visibility into portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Work with the CSI Lead to evaluate impacts of initiatives and drive delivery of advanced ITSM processes and tooling solutions that meet customer use cases.
- Assist in delivering best practices for the Enterprise including ITIL, Agile, and PMBOK frameworks for IT services.
- Maintain customer relationships in support of lifecycle replacement of IT hardware for the entire IT Enterprise.
- Work directly with end users to resolve support issues within Service Now; configure many application-related fields, forms, views, email notifications, acceptance roles, and access control.
- Modify and/or customize core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Requests, and Service Catalog while applying best practices.
- Provide support to end users and stakeholders on SPM functionalities and best practices.
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- U.S. Citizen and an Active Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience (or equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, or work experience).
- 3-5 years' experience as a Service Now Systems Engineer
- Service Now Certified System Administrator and/or Service Now Certified System Engineer
- ITIL v4 Foundation Certification
- Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification
- Service Now ITSM Implementer certification
- Knowledge of incident, problem, change, knowledge, and request fulfillment management
- Hands-on experience with Service Now HTML, CSS, Angular
JS, Jelly scripts, and RESTful API web services
- May travel up to 10% during the year to support USCENTCOM Exercises, including OCONUS locations
