Aboutthe Role
We’re looking for a Snowflake Solution Architect to join an agile and highly technical team responsible for defining, building, and owning our next-generation data platform. This role is a mix of hands-on architecture, technical leadership, and strategic direction, perfect for someone who wants to shape the foundation, standards, and roadmap of a modern data ecosystem.
You will lead the design and implementation of Snowflake-based solutions, influence platform direction, and work closely with stakeholders across engineering, analytics, data science, and product to ensure our data platform enables scale, reliability, and innovation.
What You’ll Do- Architect end-to-end data solutions leveraging Snowflake, including data modeling, ingestion, transformation, security, and performance optimization.
- Define the data platform roadmap, standards, and best practices as part of a lean, high-ownership team.
- Partner with data engineers, analytics engineers, data scientists, and business groups to convert requirements into scalable Snowflake solutions.
- Lead design sessions, perform technical reviews, and guide decisions related to warehousing, pipelines, orchestration, and governance.
- Evaluate and integrate relevant tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Matillion, Azure/AWS services).
- Implement strong data security, privacy, and access management controls within Snowflake.
- Troubleshoot and optimize warehouse performance, cost efficiency, and query execution.
- Mentor teammates and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture and data engineering, with at least 3 years hands-on in Snowflake.
- Deep expertise in Snowflake features (Warehouses, Streams/Tasks, Time Travel, RBAC, Clustering, Stages etc.).
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms (specifically Azure) and modern ELT tooling.
- Strong understanding of data modeling (star, vault, wide tables), CI/CD for data, and scalable architecture patterns.
- Comfortable working in a growing team with high ownership and the ability to set direction.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical groups.
- Experience with healthcare data and standards like HL7 and FHIR.
- Experience with dbt for transformations.
- Background in building event-driven or real-time data pipelines.
- Prior experience designing greenfield data platforms.
