Job DescriptionSenior Data Conversion Engineers ensure that the data conversions are delivered to customers on time and to the required quality standards. Through the execution of technical and administrative tasks, the Engineer works with the customer and trainer to deliver data conversions according to specifications. This position will work cooperatively with the Implementation Specialist to complete data conversion as outlined within the workflow for the customer.
This role requires a strong background in project management and advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Work cooperatively with the Implementation Specialist to complete data conversion as outlined within the workflow for the customer
- Complete assigned tasks as outlined in the customer’s project plan and/or as outlined by the Project Manager and/or Implementation Specialist
- Convert data from the customer’s legacy system into the new system based on required quality standards
- Respect the end user’s knowledge and sentiment during all interactions
- Provide accurate and appropriate feedback/reporting regarding data integrity
- Respond and/or monitor customer issues reported by Deployment Specialists or directly reported by customers during the deployment period
- Assist the Project Manager in completing all deployment scheduling and pre‑assessment activities
- High School Diploma/GED
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Three (3)+ years of healthcare industry experience
- Three (3)+ years in a similar role (data conversions, DBA data migrations, SQL Developer)
- Advanced Proficiency in SQL 2008/2012/2019, Oracle 10/11G, Progress DB
- Work with and manipulate data
- Strong background in project management
- Advanced troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Create and modify SQL scripts
- Strong SQL knowledge with experience with inner and outer joins
- Create, modify and troubleshoot applications in .NET, C#, VB, Java, Perl
- Strong organizational skills
- Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders
- Basic project management skills
- Primarily a sedentary job, requiring consistent seated work
- Requires regular keyboard typing for the majority of the workday
- Ability to observe a computer screen for long periods, including communications via computer and/or mobile devices
- Requires clear listening and speaking skills to customers and associates
