Job Title:
JIRA/Confluence Administrator
We are seeking a skilled JIRA/Confluence Administrator to enhance clarity, organization, and efficiency within our customer’s autonomous systems product life cycle. In this role, you will use automation and Atlassian tools to organize work, share insights, and support seamless delivery, helping the Cross Functional Team (CFT) align with stakeholder needs and organizational goals.
Job DescriptionA strong understanding of Agile practices, proficiency in the Atlassian suite, and effective communication skills are essential for this position.
Responsibilities- Help the CFT prepare for and run Program Increments (PI) by coordinating requirements and managing team knowledge.
- Build custom Atlassian projects and workflows that address real business needs.
- Configure advanced Atlassian tools to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Create and maintain Jira and Confluence spaces, including Kanban boards and documentation pages.
- Research, evaluate, and implement Atlassian apps, plugins, and integrated tools.
- Streamline, maintain, and automate Jira workflows.
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders as a go-to advisor.
- Coach teams on effective use of Jira, Confluence, and related tools.
- Document the Jira processes and workflows you establish.
- Build Jira queries and reports as needed.
- Recommend upgrades or changes to information systems.
- Gather business process requirements and identify optimization opportunities.
- Enhance the Agile Release Train’s (ART’s) efficiency and help deliver more value.
- Provide general system support and guidance to internal teams as issues arise.
- 5 years’ experience in systems analysis and design of information systems programs.
- 3 years’ experience with Jira and Confluence administration.
- Knowledge of Agile principles and applied best practices.
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, specifically as a JIRA/Confluence Power User.
- Building Dashboards and reports.
- Active SECRET security clearance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Atlassian certification is highly desired.
- Experience supporting multi-vendor integration efforts within the DoD.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or consulting role.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance (US citizenship required).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
This individual will work alongside a team of 160 engineers on the current program. You will be one of the first engineers in Tampa, with substantial support.
The position offers a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, fostering a high level of camaraderie and innovation with bleeding‑edge technology and new developments. Opportunities for growth and a strong relationship with the customer make this role particularly attractive.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $72.00/hr.
