Position Concept
: A Systems Analyst develops applications; implements software packages, integrates applications, and provides 24x7 application support. Collaborates on all phases of the software development life-cycle (SDLC) with a focus on the application design, development, and implementation phases. Utilizes appropriate development tools and technologies in keeping with the IT architecture.

Advancement to a higher level is based on value added to the Company through increased duties, responsibilities, and accomplishments. Advancement is not automatic; it is based on performance, qualifications, and business/technical needs.

Most work is in an office environment; occasional travel to operating locations is required.

Level 1 - Associate Systems Analyst
:
Develops software of limited complexity. Provides primary support for one or more applications. Works under direct supervision.

• Develops software of limited complexity based on specifications.
• Implements software packages with limited configuration and integration and minimal vendor contact.
• Supports 24x7 primary (and secondary for mission-critical) support for applications.
• Contributes to SDLC documentation and estimates under supervision.

Qualifications

• Education
  :
  Required – Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, additional related experience may be considered.
• Related Experience
  :
  Required – Minimum one year of experience in systems analysis, design, and development. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a high school diploma and 4+ years related experience may be considered.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA):
  Required – working knowledge of business software and hardware technologies; good verbal/written/analytical/interpersonal skills; understands project plans; working knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to comprehend technical design specifications.

Level 2 - Systems Analyst
:
Develops software of moderate complexity; may serve as Technical Lead on small projects. Works under moderate supervision.

• Develops software of moderate complexity based on specifications.
• Implements software packages with moderate configuration and integration; may involve vendor resources remotely or onsite.
• Provides 24x7 primary and/or secondary support for one or more applications.
• Supports SDLC phases with documentation and estimates; may function as Technical Lead on small projects.
• Continues to acquire business and technical knowledge relevant to projects.

Level 3 - Senior Systems Analyst
:
Develops complex software; mentors junior staff; works under limited supervision.

• Develops complex software and collaborates with analysts/partners to define specifications.
• Leads complex configuration and integration; mentors junior staff.
• Provides 24x7 primary/secondary support for mission-critical applications.
• Leads SDLC deliverables and standard practices within the team.

Level 4 - Systems Analyst Consultant
:
Leads complex software development projects; subject matter expert; mentors junior staff; may back up manager.

• Leads complex software development projects and vendor interactions.
• Leads integration of applications with complex interfaces.
• Provides 24x7 support and coordinates maintenance/release schedules.
