Data Analyst
The Data Strategist is a key role in the transformation of business. The Data Strategist will play a crucial role in leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making and business growth. This position involves analyzing complex healthcare data sets, developing data-driven strategies, and collaborating with various departments to implement data solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve patient outcomes. This role will require governance by the Analytics Center of Excellence processes (Hub and Spoke model).
Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to support business goals and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including marketing, finance, quality, operations, and IT, to integrate data solutions into business processes.
- Design and maintain data models, dashboards, reports, and presentations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security by implementing best practices in data management and governance.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and technology to continuously improve data strategies.
- Provide training and support to team members on data analysis tools and techniques.
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or other related field.
- Minimum two years of relevant work experience (internships/graduate programs may translate to years of experience).
- An equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
- Proven experience in data analysis, data strategy development, and data management.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools like Qlik, Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
