Azure Databricks Architect

Akkodis is seeking an Azure Databricks Architect for a Contract with a client in Tampa, FL (Remote). Candidates must have proven experience architecting large-scale Databricks environments while designing scalable data pipelines and integrating cloud platform services.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $63/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Design and implement scalable, high‑performance data pipelines and architectures within the Databricks environment.

• Architect end‑to‑end data solutions that seamlessly integrate Databricks with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical designs.

• Optimize and tune Databricks clusters to improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Ensure strong data security, governance, and compliance across all Databricks workflows and integrations.

• Develop best practices, architecture standards, and documentation while troubleshooting and resolving platform‑related issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 6–8 years of experience in data engineering or architecting large‑scale cloud data solutions, with strong Databricks expertise.

• Proven hands‑on experience architecting and delivering enterprise‑level Databricks solutions, including Spark‑based pipelines and cloud integrations.

• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), along with deep knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance best practices.
