Mexican Linguist

Overview

Our work depends on a natively fluent language specialist with a Mexican background to support a social media program in Tampa, FL. Preferred candidate will have the ability to read/write at a native fluency, with a thorough understanding of the area.

• Develops and maintains expertise with designated regional issues and draws upon publicly available online information resources.
• Reads, analyzes, and drafts communications regarding regional and ideological discussions in specified foreign language media environments.
• Examines current media statements or postings to support trend analysis and identifies key communicators.
• Demonstrates reading and writing expertise in the assigned language and incorporates custom social media solutions to comprehend online environments and communicate trends effectively.
• Supports operations planning.
• Demonstrates knowledge of online social media and different technologies, and documents activities, notes, informative papers, or whitepapers written in English.
• Some travel may be required.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree required; experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
• Experience:
  
  5+ years experience required.
• Security clearance level:
  Minimum DoW Secret clearance required; select positions require TS/SCI.
• Skills and abilities:
  
  Ability to work nonstandard hours and in on-call status for periods of time may be required. Select candidates will be language-tested.

The following are additional details for this position: salary range is $77,350 - $104,650. This is not a guarantee of compensation; salary will be set based on experience, location, and contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Scheduled Weekly
