Prototyping & Lab Intern Security Clearance

The Opportunity:

This is a paid internship. The Prototyping & Lab Support Intern provides hands‑on support in a dynamic lab environment, helping keep the workspace organized, supplied, and secure while assisting the engineering team with practical technical tasks. You'll gain valuable exposure to real-world prototyping, fabrication, and program support in a collaborative setting.

• Perform hands‑on lab tasks such as soldering, electrical assembly, and light fabrication.
• Set up, operate, and maintain 3D printers and CNC equipment according to design specifications.
• Track action items and milestone deliverables; identify and report delays or risks promptly.
• Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to gather inputs, share status updates, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Manage inventory of consumables, track usage, and suggest replenishment needs.
• Stay aware of new fabrication tools and best practices; help implement relevant improvements.
• Support the Project Manager by assisting with internal reporting and documentation.
• Work effectively in a dynamic environment, prioritize tasks independently, and follow through to completion (including occasional after-hours support when required).
