Job Overview

NTT DATA is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Tampa, FL. This role focuses on driving data insights, developing machine learning models, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

• Driving new data insights to uncover business opportunities & revenue streams.
• Have a firm understanding of statistics and data visualization for communication.
• Understand business growth areas & how to utilize important data.
• Be responsible for identifying new analytic trends / data needs and repeatable analytic solutions.
• Work with key stakeholders to generate hypotheses and create analytic models that answer impactful business questions.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using supervised and unsupervised ML algorithms.
• Be experienced in data wrangling and dynamic model tuning.

• Work on projects leveraging expertise in data science, artificial‑intelligence, and machine learning.
• Assist in breaking down complex business problems, developing solutions, and focusing on client satisfaction.
• Conduct market research, develop a point‑of‑view, and communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Bring innovative thinking, resourcefulness, and creativity to achieve successful outcomes.
• Establish relationships with clients, understand project work, and navigate encountered problems.
• Work with data sets of varying sizes and complexities—including structured and unstructured data.
• Piping and processing massive data streams in distributed computing environments.
• Implement batch and real‑time model scoring.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/non‑functional business requirements.
• Apply business knowledge to analyze data, develop reports, and solve problems; perform ad hoc analyses as needed.
• Participate in the analysis and resolution of issues related to information flow and content with data stakeholders.

• 7+ years of experience supporting data science projects in a consulting environment.
• 7+ years of experience participating in projects focused on one or more of the following areas:
  • Predictive Analytics
  • Data Design
  • Statistics
  • AI/ML
  • ML Ops
• 7+ years of experience using Python and/or R to analyze disparate datasets.

• Exercise sound judgment with minimal support from practice executives through structured problem identification, mitigation, and resolution.
• Team player who is a consistent, dependable performer with a strong work ethic, flexible 'can-do' attitude, and commitment to success.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree preferred.
• 1+ year of Gen AI / LLM hands‑on development experience.
• Ability to drive individual hands‑on development and oversee more junior developers/engineers.
