The Enterprise Communications Services 3 (ECS3) program supports our intel customer across its many operating locations. Our focus is to help the organization technically transform its current services by leading edge technology insertions. To accomplish this, we are charged with development of new designs, its implementation, and operation of the new and/or enhanced services. Over the life of the contract, we will drive continual service improvement by tech modernization, for our LANs, WAN, UC, video telecommunication and streaming services.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Tier 2 Network Administrator, you'll be challenged with enterprise support problems where you will coordinate with the Network Operations Center and other operational staff to address break fix, configuration updates, schedule adds/moves/changes and technology upgrades for network routers and switches. As an experienced network team member, you’ll be expected to coordinate ticket acceptance and resolutions. You will support the development of technical resolution reports for critical outages in the Network.

Responsibilities and Requirements- Conduct approved network changes to include but not limited to VLANs, ACLs and port assignments.
- Perform IOS upgrades to routers and switches.
- Perform routing and switching equipment technology upgrades to ensure continued operations of the enterprise.
- Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for network operations.
- Resolve systems failures and accessibility problems within the network to our services.
- Support site survey and engineering designs data calls.
- Support new/enhanced network implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale.
- Work independently with some supervision. In remote locations must function as independent engineering, maintenance, and network problem solving with minimal or intermittent input from other Tiers/locations.
- Problems faced are difficult, requiring detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand problems. You will employ creativity and ingenuity for new technical solutions applicable across the enterprise, drawing heavily on prior experience.
- Perform network ticket resolution and closure across Network Operations staff to include:
- Use administrative access to provision new switches, routers, and cryptographic devices.
- Research errors, incidents, and perform incident analysis to identify potential problems.
- Route service requests to the appropriate organization for incident resolution.
- Perform root cause analyses and complete problem resolutions associated with incident tickets.
- Review and implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
Required:
- IAT II (e.g., Security+)
- CCNA
- TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain a CI poly
- Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper network devices
- Strong working knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, 802.1x)
- In-depth knowledge of KG-175 Series TACLANES configuration, fault isolation, and firmware upgrade procedures
- Working knowledge of Cisco ISE
