Storm Duty Requirements

Tampa Electric and its sister companies serve a role in providing critical services to our community during an emergency. Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our Tampa Electric customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures.

Responding to storms will be considered a condition of employment.

Title: Data Analytics Architect

PRIMARY FOCUS AREAS
  • Build Data and Analytics Architecture
  • Build/Develop Data Strategy, Data Pipeline System Optimization and Security
  • Technical Proficiency in Deep knowledge in relational databases, Data warehousing technologies snowflakes, Databricks and data modeling tools like DBT
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

The Data and Analytics Architects are responsible for the “back end” components of the organization's BIA environment from standards, architecture, and design perspectives. Overall responsibility for the implementation and support of the data movement and engineering processes required to populate the organization's custom-built analytic data structures (e.g., staging areas, data warehouse and data marts) as well as the design of these structures.

Responsible for the strategy and design related to the ‘federation’ of custom-built data architecture with vendor provided solutions. Provides technical oversight and assures the quality of the work done by data analysts and data engineers and developers. Serves as a subject matter expert with significant, recent hands‑on experience with a state‑of‑the‑art data integration and cleansing tools available in the SAP and Azure platforms etc.

Responsible for assuring that data integration and cleansing tool suites are effectively deployed and applications are developed based on industry and vendor‑specified best practices. Responsibility for ensuring that the organization’s analytic data architecture effectively enables needed applications and develops standards in the areas of data modeling, metadata management, data integration and master data management.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define and evolve the data architecture in alignment with enterprise standards to support diverse use cases such as reporting, OLAP, dashboards, data mining, and statistical analysis. Ensure the architecture meets operational requirements including scalability, security, reliability, and flexibility.
