Position Concept

The Enterprise Analytics Delivery Lead is responsible for leading the delivery of high-value data and AI solutions to one or more areas of the business. The role oversees the end-to-end implementation or enhancement of data-driven and AI solutions, including reports, dashboards, analytics, and extracts, in support of strategic achievement, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and innovation. This is a shared service function for TEC and PGS, enabling the business to extract insights and value from data and AI assets.

Responsibilities include business relationship management, program management, and product lifecycle management.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serves as the delivery lead for various data and AI initiatives through all phases of implementation (planning, requirements, design, build, test, deploy), supporting business case creation and value proposition, prototyping and solution design, functional requirements definition, daily stand-ups, user acceptance testing, end user identification, business readiness preparation, data governance needs, and stakeholder communications.

  • Establishes and maintains a SME level of understanding for data and AI solutions used by assigned business areas, including role of solutions in business processes, operation of the solution, key fields and terminology, data quality needs, data governance expectations, and associated source/destination systems.

  • Contributes to the enterprise data analytics strategy in support of company objectives, participates in industry and data analytics associations, and performs research to recommend strategy changes, including new solutions, tools, processes, and methods.

  • Builds relationships with various business and data leaders to understand their strategic plans, roadmaps, and goals, while providing transparency into enterprise analytics strategy, roadmap, priorities, and processes.

  • Collaborates with business and data partners to understand their challenges and leverage innovative thinking to explore where data products and AI can provide a solution.

  • Monitors and tracks usage, adoption, and value achievement of data solutions for assigned business areas.

  • Maintains a backlog of potential improvements to data and AI solutions and helps prioritize associated changes to drive maximum value for the business.

  • Supports other department activities as needed (e.g., storms and emergency management, procurement).

  • Supervision

    Direct Supervision: Functional members of analytics delivery teams including SCRUM Masters and Data Analysts.

    Indirect Supervision: Technical members of analytics delivery teams, including Data Engineers and Testers.

    Relationships
    • Key Internal:
      Business, Data, and IT leaders across TECO and Emera affiliates.
    • Key External:
      Contractors, vendors, and industry associations.
    Qualifications

    Education

    • Required:

      Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
    • Preferred:
      Master’s degree with a concentration in a related discipline from an accredited institution.

    Licenses/Certifications

    • Preferred:
      Credentials demonstrating a breadth of knowledge over data science, AI/ML, information management, or project management (e.g., PMP, CSM).

    Experience

    • Required:

      6 years related work experience in business relationship management, program management, and/or data product lifecycle management.
    • Preferred:
      Work experience in a regulated industry (e.g., electric/gas utility).

    Supervisory Experience

    • Preferred: 3 years experience of leading project teams.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

    Required

    • Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience with business acumen, problem solving, analytical skills, driving for results, and commitment to continuous improvement.
    • Familiarity with traditional and emerging systems development methodologies (e.g., SDLC, Agile).
    • High level of initiative and ability to work well within a team.
    • Ability to develop relationships with internal and external teams and groups.
    • Superior communication skills.
    • High level of judgment and problem solving.
    • Proficient with MS Office.
