Cybersecurity Data & AI Consultant – Deloitte, Tampa, FL – Consultant - Cyber Defense & Resilience - Security Operations

This role is part of Deloitte’s Cyber Defense & Resilience (D&R) Security Operations team, which combines security and data technologists to address cybersecurity, data engineering, and AI/ML challenges.

• Design and modernize large-scale cyber data and analytics programs that promote organizational intelligence, provide embedded capacity, and implement as-a-service subscription models at scale.
• Harness bleeding-edge cyber big data and AI technologies such as Databricks for Cyber, AWS Security Lake, Google Sec Ops and others from traditional security providers like Splunk, Crowd Strike, Palo Alto.
• Enable day-to-day operations, maintenance, and enhancements of data platforms and applications, while managing and governing underlying data using standardized, automated, AI-enabled Data Ops capabilities.
• Mature clients’ AI and Analytics journeys with flexible capacity and complementary expertise, including curated data sets for experimentation and scaling.

• 2–4 years of relevant analytics consulting or industry experience.
• 2–4 years of experience with AI development tools such as vector databases (Pinecone, Elastic, etc.) and AI frameworks (Lang Chain, CrewAI, etc.).
• 2–4 years of experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data‑mining techniques.
• 2–4 years of experience using statistical computing languages (Python, SQL, R, SAS, etc.) to prepare data for analysis, visualize data, generate features, and perform similar data‑science tasks.
• 2–4 years of experience using cybersecurity cloud platforms (Google Sec Ops, AWS, Azure, etc.).
• 1–4 years of experience with SOC threat hunting and incident response.
• Demonstrated expertise with one full‑life‑cycle analytics engagement across strategy, design, and implementation.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, empirical statistics, or 4 years of equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on client work and sector.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

• Experience architecting, designing, developing, and deploying enterprise data science solutions, including AI components such as NLP, chatbots, virtual assistants, computer vision, and cognitive services; and using big‑data tools for massive‑dataset management.
• Knowledge of the intersection of AI/ML/advanced data engineering and cybersecurity use cases for detection and rapid threat response.
• Experience parsing and normalizing cyber or IT telemetry datasets.
• Expertise in Python machine‑learning frameworks and libraries (PyTorch, Keras, Tensor Flow, Scikit‑learn, Num Py, Sci Py).
• Experience designing and implementing open-source data frameworks (Kafka, Storm, Spark) for end‑to‑end data lifecycle management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
