Senior Data Scientist responsible for supporting USCENTCOM’s Directorate of Logistics (CCJ4) at Mac Dill AFB. The role focuses on accelerating AI-enabled capabilities for the Joint Logistics Enterprise, modernizing the Joint Logistics Common Operating Picture (JLOGCOP) by integrating AI/ML into DoD data feeds to improve planning speed and decision‑making.

• Communicate regularly with client leadership regarding enterprise values, project direction, and mission objectives.
• Identify the intersection between strategic business value and achievable technical work within the logistics domain.
• Translate complex business questions into technical solutions using available DoD data sources.
• Explore and analyze diverse datasets to identify meaningful entities, relationships, and trends.
• Design and implement robust data ingestion and cleaning pipelines to ensure high‑quality inputs for AI/ML models.
• Develop applications and data visualizations to communicate complex insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Serve as a technical ambassador for executive DoD leadership to sponsor and grow data literacy across the enterprise.

• Active Secret security clearance.
• 8+ years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or related technical field.
• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field).
• Proficiency in functional programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
• Strong experience with database languages, specifically SQL.
• Demonstrated ability to discern and apply appropriate statistical approaches for mission contexts.
• Experience communicating key findings through technical visualizations and briefings.
• Independent problem‑solving skills with effective cross‑functional collaboration.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as required by the mission.

• Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline.
• Experience developing within cloud‑based platforms (AWS, Azure, or Gov Cloud).
• Experience with large‑scale data processing tools and distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Databricks).
• Advanced experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power
  
  BI, or custom D3.js).
• Familiarity with DoD logistics data or USCENTCOM mission sets.
