The role is accountable for transitioning the organization from Excel‑ and table‑based reporting to scalable, governed Power BI solutions that support leadership decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Power BI Ownership & Strategy:

Define and enforce Power BI standards, best practices, and development patterns (modeling, DAX, visuals, documentation, deployment). Serve as the firm’s Power BI subject‑matter expert.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Building:
Expand, lead, and develop a team of Power BI analysts. Set expectations for technical excellence and guide the team toward mastery of Power BI (DAX, data modeling, performance tuning, calculation groups, deployment pipelines). Review and coach on complex models and dashboards to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Dashboard Delivery & Stakeholder Partnership:
Partner with business stakeholders to translate business questions into effective Power BI solutions. Work with an external partner/vendor to co‑develop dashboards, ensuring alignment with internal standards and stakeholder needs.
  • Vendor & Cross‑Functional Management:
Manage Power BI‑related vendor relationships, including delivery oversight, prioritization, and quality assurance. Coordinate with IT, Financial Systems, Finance, and other teams to align data sources, refresh processes, and security models.
  • Reporting Transformation & Process Design:
Lead the transition from Excel‑ and table‑based reporting to Power BI dashboards and semantic models. Establish repeatable processes for intake, prioritization, development, deployment, and ongoing support of Power BI assets. Drive adoption by improving usability, consistency, and trust in Power BI reporting.

Expected to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule and full attention to and engagement in work activities on behalf of the firm during business hours unless otherwise approved or required by applicable law.
