Application Development:
Writing, debugging, and modifying code for mainframe applications using languages such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
System Maintenance:
Supporting, troubleshooting, and upgrading existing mainframe software to ensure performance and reliability.
Testing & Implementation:
Performing unit, system, regression, and integration testing before implementing production releases.
Documentation:
Preparing technical specifications, design documents, and support documentation.
Collaboration:
Working with system analysts, testers, and business partners to meet functional requirements.
Required Technical Skills
Languages:
COBOL, JCL, Assembler, SQL, REXX.
Database/Environment: DB2, IMS DB/DC, z/OS.
Tools: IBM Debug Tool, File-Aid, Fault Analyzer, SPUFI, Endevor.
Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000 a year
