Opportunity to join Manatt, Phelps & Phillips as a Microsoft Desktop Engineer, responsible for Windows migrations, endpoint management, and maintaining key Microsoft service systems.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain the firm’s Autopilot provisioning process.
- Deploy software to user computers via SCCM and Intune.
- Manage imaging from build to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Oversee all firm deployments to endpoints, packaging new software, and updating installed applications.
- Manage and maintain the configuration manager (SCCM) server and all distribution points.
- Patch endpoints monthly using WSUS for both user computers and servers.
- Enroll devices in Intune for computers and manage mobile devices via Intune as MDM, including approved mobile app deployment.
- Write and execute scripts for tasks such as AD updates and profile builds after first‑time log‑in.
- Provide Tier 3 support for escalated desktop issues related to application deployment.
- Evaluate current procedures and continuously improve practices.
- Follow escalation, communication, and change‑management policies for production system problems.
- 5+ years of experience with Windows Operating Systems and migrations.
- 5+ years of experience configuring and managing MS Teams, One Drive, and Office
365 applications. - Proficient with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, GPO, Sites and Services, Logon scripts, and related technologies.
- Understanding of on‑premise versus cloud‑based server/software implementations, including Azure AD sync.
- Experience using Intune (or other MDM) to manage mobile devices and endpoints.
- Configuration and administration of Single Sign‑On and Multi‑Factor Authentication systems (Okta and Azure – a plus).
- Experience with email technologies such as archiving, antispam, backups, and SMTP tracking logs.
- Configuring conditional access policies for Exchange Online, Teams, One Drive, and Office
365 applications. - Planning, implementing, and troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange Online, and Teams environments.
- Understanding of Azure PaaS and IaaS concepts.
- Power Shell scripting expertise.
- Certifications preferred (e.g., Windows, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, SCCM/MCSE).
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—and the ability to document system installation and configuration steps.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with systems administrators and other support organizations.
