Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Windows Application Administrator to provide technical support for enterprise application administration on a federal government IT program. You will administer Windows Server-hosted applications, collaborate with team members, maintain STIG compliance, and serve as a technical escalation point for Windows environment issues.
Key Responsibilities- Perform technical operations for enterprise Windows application administration in a federal IT environment
- Collaborate with and support junior application administrators on Windows platforms
- Execute application deployment, patching, monitoring, and incident response on Windows Server environments
- Maintain STIG configurations and drive cybersecurity compliance across all Windows-hosted systems
- Coordinate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and development teams to sustain application environments
- Develop and maintain SOPs, network diagrams, and technical documentation
- Participate in disaster recovery testing and technology refresh planning for Windows-hosted applications
- Serve as a technical escalation point for Windows environment issues
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree OR current Microsoft certification (Azure Administrator Associate or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator)
- Minimum 5 years of Windows Server and application administration
- Strong experience with Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, and enterprise application management
- Familiarity with security hardening, STIG compliance, and patch management practices
- Experience with web/application servers (Apache, Tomcat) in Windows environments
- Familiarity with Splunk or similar SIEM platforms
- Cloud-hosted application environment experience (OCI, Azure, or AWS)
- Background in federal IT with DoD security compliance responsibilities
- Microsoft certification preferred (Azure Administrator or Windows Server Hybrid)
- Security+ or DoD 8570 baseline a plus
