We are seeking a Dev Ops Engineer with a strong foundation in infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support and evolve a large‑scale hybrid cloud platform. This role focuses on designing, automating, and operating infrastructure across VMware‑based private cloud and public cloud environments (AWS and Azure). You will partner closely with Architecture, Security, and Product teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable platforms, with an emphasis on automation, standardization, and operational excellence.
This is a hands‑on engineering role in a multi‑petabyte global environment, ideal for candidates who enjoy improving systems through automation and continuous improvement.
- Design, implement, and support hybrid cloud environments across VMware, AWS, and Azure
- Deliver secure, highly available, and scalable infrastructure platforms aligned to application needs
- Contribute to platform architecture, reliability, and lifecycle management
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting (Python, Power Shell, Bash)
- Build and maintain reusable IaC modules, templates, and automation workflows
- Develop integrations using REST APIs for end‑to‑end orchestration
- Drive reduction of manual operational tasks through automation
- Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform services
- Enable self‑service infrastructure through standardized templates and automation
- Partner with engineering teams to improve deployment workflows and platform usability
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability to ensure high availability and proactive issue detection
- Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Participate in on‑call rotation
- Ensure platforms meet security, compliance, and operational standards
- Manage patching, backup, and disaster recovery processes
- Collaborate with Security and Architecture on platform design standards
- Maintain clear runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation
- Analyze existing systems and workflows to identify opportunities for optimization and automation
- Follow ITIL processes for change and incident management
- 3–5 years of experience in Dev Ops, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, VMware)
- Experience with Windows Server, Ubuntu Linux, Red Hat Linux
- Scripting experience in Python or Bash, Power Shell
- Experience supporting production infrastructure and troubleshooting complex issues
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in a cross‑functional environment
- Experience with Ansible Tower / Ansible AWX
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container‑based workflows
- Experience in hybrid cloud environments (VMware + public cloud)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools and practices
- Exposure to ITSM tools (e.g., Jira Service Management)
- vSphere, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
- VMware Aria Automation / Orchestrator (vRA / vRO)
- Aria Operations (vROps) and lifecycle management tooling
- Experience with Azure Automation (Runbooks / Hybrid Workers)
- Exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI) or infrastructure reporting tools
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
