Position Summary
MAG Aerospace seeks a Computer Network Architect to support operations of the SOCOM SOCRATES networks at SOCOM HQ, Mac Dill AFB, Tampa, FL. The role ensures reliable, compliant, and high-performance connectivity across cloud, corporate, and secure environments.
Responsibilities- Design, maintain, and operate Integrated Systems Networks (ISN) components for enterprise connectivity, functionality, and security.
- Engage in routing and switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, hot and cold sites, Cloud, on‑prem network infrastructure.
- Perform deep troubleshooting: methodical diagnostics, VLAN/VLAN management, persistent MAC, routing protocol issues, application network impact.
- Apply infrastructure skills: L2 Ethernet (VXLAN, OTV, Spanning Tree), L3 routing (IBGP, EBGP, EIGRP, RIP, OSPF), service provider routers.
- Implement security and cloud solutions: firewalls, security appliances, VPNs, cloud connectivity, CSFC differentiation.
- Automate routine tasks using basic Python scripting and Ansible.
- Routing & Switching—BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, hot/cold sites, Cloud, on‑prem.
- Deep Troubleshooting—methodical, VLAN, MAC, routing, application issues.
- Infrastructure—L2 Ethernet: VXLAN, OTV, Spanning Tree; L3 routing: IBGP, EBGP, EIGRP, RIP, OSPF; service provider routers.
- Security & Cloud—firewalls, security appliances, VPNs, integration with cloud, CSFC.
- Automation—Python scripting, Ansible.

- U.S. Citizenship required.
- TS/SCI Clearance required.
- 4–8+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure engineering, or cloud networking.
- Design and operation of enterprise network architectures across hybrid environments.
- Hands‑on cloud networking experience.
- Support geographically distributed organizations with multiple sites and remote users.
- Experience in regulated environments.
- Experience supporting SCIF or secure facility network environments.
- Familiarity with CSfC and Type One encryption methods.
- Industry‑recognized certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCNA).
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- TS/SCI Clearance.
- CONUS/OCONUS up to 25%.

Compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 annualized USD, based on location, skills, and experience.
