Qualifications
- Min 20 years with HS degree, 18 years with AS/AA degree, 16 years with BS/BA, 14 years with MS/MA
- DoDD 8570 IAT II Certification
- DoD TS/SCI clearance
- Experience with cloud networking and hybrid architectures
- Experience with workload tagging strategies and policy automation
- Knowledge of application dependency mapping and traffic analysis
- Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks
Peraton requires Systems Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.
This position is located at Mac Dill AFB in Florida.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (Net Ops); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support;
provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
The Lead CSW Engineer is responsible for the project-based architecture, strategy, and technical leadership for the initial implementation of the organization’s microsegmentation capability. This role will lead the design and deployment of workload segmentation using Cisco Secure Workload to establish a baseline for reducing lateral movement risk. This is a project-focused role responsible for building the initial framework and handing it off to an operations team.
- Design and document the enterprise microsegmentation architecture for the project scope.
- Define and document initial workload classification models, segmentation standards, naming conventions, and tagging strategies.
- Develop initial segmentation policy frameworks and templates.
- Lead the initial implementation and configuration of Cisco Secure Workload.
- Guide segmentation engineers during the project's application onboarding and policy design phase.
- Review and approve the initial set of segmentation policies prior to enforcement.
- Coordinate with application owners to map dependencies for pilot applications.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive handover documentation for the sustainment team, including architectural diagrams and operational procedures.
- Create and lead user acceptance training sessions for application owners and the future operations team.
