ROLE SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Repair Depot Technician supports day-to-day depot operations by performing basic to advanced hardware troubleshooting, device imaging, equipment preparation, and inventory handling. This role includes hands-on support for computers, printers, and related peripherals, performing bench-level repair, maintenance, and configuration tasks within a controlled depot environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
  • Perform simple troubleshooting, cleaning, and basic repairs on computers, printers, tablets, and related peripherals.
  • Diagnose and repair common printer issues including paper jams, print quality problems, connectivity issues, and error codes.
  • Perform routine printer maintenance such as cleaning components, replacing consumables (toner, drums, rollers), and aligning hardware.
  • Configure printer settings, drivers, firmware updates, and network connectivity as required.
  • Test printers after repair or configuration to ensure proper operation prior to deployment or storage.
  • Reimage devices and apply standard configurations following provided procedures.
  • Kit, label, and prepare equipment for shipment, deployment, or storage.
  • Receive, unpack, inspect, and document incoming equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update tracking systems daily.
  • Follow all depot workflows, safety standards, and quality checks.
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts and equipment organization.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of computers, operating systems, or common hardware components.
  • Prior experience supporting, maintaining, or repairing printers and multi-function devices in a depot, help desk, or technical support environment.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and work with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move packages/equipment as required.
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft OS and troubleshooting in a Windows environment.
  • Experience with computer imaging and installing new custom configurations.
  • US Citizenship required by our client; no dual citizenship permitted.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • This role will travel occasionally, generally local travel using company vehicles and/or personal vehicle.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • A valid and unrestricted driver's license is required throughout the duration of employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Bending, kneeling lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work is performed in a warehouse and office environment. Exposure to heat, dust, and particulate matter are common.
