Redhorse Corporation is building a cross-functional team to support the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Directorate of Logistics (CCJ4) and help to accelerate the delivery of AI-enabled capabilities and to synchronize AI activities in order to expand customer advantages. This effort supports the Joint Logistics Enterprise in support of USCENTCOM missions in order to promote cooperation among nations, respond to crisis, deter and defeat trans-regional aggression, while support the development of resilient logistics and engineering capabilities of our partners.

The current Joint Logistics Common Operating Picture (JLOGCOP) is comprised of dozens of data feeds, both automated and manual, from across DoD. This effort is a custom build of artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) capabilities into the JLOGCOP in order to leverage the data, enhance decision making, and increase the speed of planning.

Redhorse Corporation is currently seeking a Data Scientist to join our team. The place of performance for this work is at Mac Dill AFB, near Tampa, FL, with the possibility of up to 10% travel.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities for this position include:

Communicate with client regularly regarding enterprise values and project direction.
Find intersection between business value and achievable technical work.
Articulate and translate business questions into technical solutions using available DoD data.
Explore datasets to find meaningful entities and relationships.
Create data ingestion and cleaning pipelines.
Develop applications and effective visualizations to communicate insights.
Serve as an ambassador for executive DoD leadership to sponsor data literacy growth across the enterprise.

Minimum Basic Requirements for Skills, Experience, and Credentials include:

US citizen with a Secret US government clearance. Applicants who are not US Citizens and who do not have a current and active Secret security clearance will not be considered for this role.
Ability to work independently to recommend solutions to the client and as part of a team to accomplish tasks.
Experience with functional programming (Python, R, Scala) and database languages (SQL).
Ability to discern which statistical approaches are appropriate for different contexts.
Experience communicating key findings with visualizations.
8+ years of professional experience.
Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud-based development platforms.
Experience with large-scale data processing tools.
Experience with data visualization tools.
Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, etc.).
