AWS Cloud Engineer

Accenture Federal Services is seeking an AWS Engineer to lead the design, build, and automation of cloud infrastructure in a Dev Sec Ops  environment. The role focuses on building secure, scalable, highly available AWS platforms, with experience in IaC, EKS, and CI/CD pipelines. Hybrid environment and private cloud knowledge such as VMware or Openshift is a plus.

• AWS Infrastructure & Architecture:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure AWS environments.
  • Implement and manage core AWS services: VPC, Transit Gateway, EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, EBS, RDS.
  • Architect and operate containerized workloads with Amazon EKS, including cluster management, scaling, and security.
• Security & Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce security controls, encryption, and access management to meet compliance standards such as DISA STIGs, directly in IaC modules and code.
• Team Enablement &
  
  Collaboration:
  • Act as a cloud subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to development teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate new cloud-native technologies and recommend solutions.
  • Champion foundational best practices, including Git workflows and the proficient use of AI tools to accelerate development and problem‑solving.

• 7 years of experience in cloud engineering.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• CompTIA Security+ ce.

• Experience with VMware vSphere in a hybrid cloud context.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Familiarity with other public clouds (Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Go, JavaScript/Type Script).
• Understanding of common authentication mechanisms: OIDC, OAuth2, LDAP, SAML.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects.
• Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer - Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Hashi Corp Certified:
    Terraform Associate/Professional

• Active TS/SCI required.

Base pay range for this position in the following states:
California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is $133,400—$170,100 USD. Compensation may vary based on location, role, skill set, and experience.
