A Tech Lead plays a pivotal role in managing the ecosystem within their line of business. Each day, they maintain a holistic view of the various applications in the ecosystem and their dependencies. Ensuring a clear understanding of incoming requirements and their impacts is essential to prioritizing and scoping the necessary work. The Evergreen Lead coordinates project management efforts across teams, tracking and reporting on status updates, metrics, and deliverables.
Daily tasks include project coordination, stakeholder communication, reporting, and meeting facilitation.
Review the current state of the ecosystem daily, identify dependencies across applications, and ensure proper scoping of work related to technology lifecycle events or evergreen items. Coordinate with teams to gather details and engage stakeholders for remediation.
Collaborate with project management and stakeholders to validate and prioritize the book of work, considering budgeting. Assess financial impacts and escalate budget issues as needed.
Provide weekly updates to leadership through steering committees or business reviews, summarizing progress, risks, and ensuring visibility for stakeholders.
Manage requests ranging from new business needs to risk issues, review with stakeholders, and add to the work plan.
Attend daily stand-ups, monitor progress, support teams, escalate issues, and coordinate updates from application and infrastructure teams, including legacy and special projects.
Work with ITA and IT teams to promote standards, reduce non-standard technologies, and maintain cost-effective solutions.
Facilitate knowledge sharing across development teams, develop best practices, and guidelines for risk remediation.
Manage dashboards reflecting project status, support reporting in leadership meetings, and ensure data accuracy and sharing.
Coordinate ongoing projects, schedule meetings, communicate with teams, and follow up on the 116 active Evergreen items to ensure progress.
