Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Director, Cloud, Infrastructure & Operations for a top healthcare client. This candidate will lead the enterprise technology foundation across cloud, infrastructure, networks, endpoints, identity, service delivery, and operational support for a large multi-clinic environment.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience operating distributed healthcare or enterprise environments, modernizing infrastructure through cloud-first architecture, automation, Zero Trust, AIOps, and strong ITIL-based operations. This role is especially critical as the organization moves through a major technology carve-out and transformation, requiring a leader who can stand up new network, cloud, identity, ITSM, monitoring, and vendor ecosystems while ensuring Day-1 readiness, operational stability, scalability, and long-term modernization.
Day-to-Day:- Lead the strategy, architecture, modernization, and operational excellence of the enterprise technology foundation
- Own infrastructure, networks, cloud environments, endpoints, service delivery, and operational monitoring across 100+ clinics, corporate sites, and digital platforms
- Drive cloud-first architecture, automation, Zero Trust security, and AIOps-enabled operations
- Stand up and optimize network architecture including SD-WAN, VPN, WAN/LAN, and clinic connectivity
- Support carve-out initiatives by building new network, cloud, identity, ITSM, monitoring, logging, and observability environments independent of the parent organization
- Build greenfield cloud landing zones, migrate workloads, and establish cloud governance and operational tooling
- Automate provisioning, patching, monitoring, configuration, device setup, onboarding/offboarding, and environment management
- Lead Tier 1/2 support, service desk operations, clinic field support, and ITIL-based service delivery
- Implement enterprise monitoring and AIOps for anomaly detection, remediation, SLAs, KPIs, and automation-driven support
- Enforce endpoint protection, patching, vulnerability remediation, identity controls, privileged access, and audit readiness
- Own disaster recovery strategy, backups, failover architecture, RTO/RPO targets, and DR testing across EMR, Oracle Fusion, RCM, HRIS, and digital platforms
- Operate and optimize enterprise identity platforms including SSO, MFA, conditional access, RBAC, PAM, and joiner/mover/leaver lifecycle automation
- Manage infrastructure, cloud, operations vendors, contracts, SLAs, renewals, licensing, and compliance
- Build and execute TSA exit plans, cutover strategy, Day-1 readiness, and multi-year infrastructure and cloud modernization roadmaps
- Plan for scalability to support new clinics, services, digital capabilities, rapid expansion, and value-based care operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in infrastructure, cloud operations, or IT operations
- Prior leadership experience in a healthcare provider, payer, or health tech organization
- Deep expertise in network architecture including WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and site connectivity
- Strong background managing endpoints, devices, imaging, patching, and lifecycle management
- Demonstrated experience owning cloud architecture, landing zones, infrastructure as code, and cloud governance
- Hands-on experience with identity platforms such as Azure AD/Entra, Okta, or Ping
- Strong knowledge of Zero Trust, MFA, RBAC, PAM, IAM governance, and identity lifecycle management
- Proven success leading ITIL-based operations, including incident, problem, change, asset, and configuration management
- Experience leading disaster recovery, business continuity planning, failover architecture, backup strategy, and RTO/RPO management
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, contracts, SLAs, renewals, and license compliance
- Experience driving automation, operational efficiency, self-service enablement, and modern IT operations
- HIPAA data handling knowledge
- Proven leadership experience executing a technology carve-out, divestiture, or large-scale separation from a parent organization
- Certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, CCNP/CCIE, CISSP, CISM, or ITIL
- Experience standing up greenfield cloud landing zones, ITSM platforms, monitoring tools, observability platforms, or identity tenants
- Experience supporting EMR, Oracle Fusion, RCM, HRIS, analytics, or digital health platform environments
- Background implementing AIOps, enterprise monitoring, automation, or cloud cost optimization initiatives
