Business Analyst Agile

Key Responsibilities Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to support our client's connectivity technology initiatives. In this role, you will focus on elaborating detailed requirements, such as acceptance criteria, within backlog items to ensure clarity and completeness. You will work to keep all project tasks on track by managing the Jira board and collaborating with the Scrum Master to maintain backlog hygiene.

The Business Analyst acts as a vital link between technology teams and business stakeholders, possessing a strong understanding of user needs and system functionalities to facilitate effective communication and project success.

• Interpret and translate user and business needs into actionable product backlog items, working closely with the Product Owner to establish clear "definition of ready".
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and development squad to refine backlog items, fostering shared understanding of product goals and functionalities.
• Partner with business units and application delivery teams to leverage IT resources and meet all project deadlines.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback into the backlog to ensure alignment with evolving requirements.
• Participate actively in daily stand-ups and ongoing squad meetings to coordinate efforts and stay updated on progress.
• Develop documentation for stakeholders or provide content to support documentation efforts, such as training materials, message specifications, or technical and functional designs.
• Analyze the entire connectivity delivery chain to identify manual handoffs, recurring bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation or streamlining workflows.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and support teams to translate delivery insights into backlog improvements that reduce cycle times, eliminate redundancies, and enhance delivery predictability.
• Communicate project status, elevate issues when necessary, and work with support teams to troubleshoot and resolve emerging risks or roadblocks.

• At least 4 years of experience in an IT-related role.
• Knowledge of diverse technologies and platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Kanban, and Jira.
• Experience navigating platforms like Service Now, Power BI, and Jira.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to understand and prioritize internal stakeholder needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail with a proactive approach to follow-through.
• Ability to prioritize urgent tasks and thrive in a fast-paced IT environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Ability to decompose complex workflows into manageable steps, identify automation opportunities, and recommend practical process improvements.
• Solid understanding of system functionalities to effectively engage with the squad.
• Comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions, and raising potential risks or issues.
• Adaptable and resourceful, with a proactive attitude towards gathering necessary information.
• Innovative mindset capable of leveraging variability to improve processes.
• Willingness to work closely with management to review approaches and requirements to solve business problems.

• Experience with SharePoint and familiarity with other collaboration and analytical tools.
• Prior exposure to end-to-end delivery chain analysis and workflow optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical skills to identify bottlenecks and recommend automation solutions.
• Effective team player with collaborative mindset and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
