Fed Ops candidate should possess strong experience in managing and supporting cloud-based and enterprise platforms within highly regulated environments, with a focus on reliability, security, and compliance. The role requires proficiency in Dev Ops practices such as CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and monitoring, along with hands‑on expertise in troubleshooting, incident response, and system optimization to ensure high availability and performance. Candidates should be comfortable collaborating across development, security, and operations teams to streamline software delivery while adhering to governance standards typical of federal environments.
Strong AAP playbook skillset, problem‑solving skills, operational mindset, and the ability to continuously improve processes through automation and data‑driven insights are essential. The knowledge of HPOO and HPSA are a plus in this role but not absolutely required.
- Design, develop, and support event‑driven automation leveraging the Fed Ops framework across Service Now, Polycloud, and enterprise platforms
- Build, maintain, and optimize automation workflows using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
- Develop reusable, scalable playbooks for alert remediation, self‑healing, and operational workflows
- Integrate automation solutions with enterprise systems (Service Now, APIs, infrastructure platforms)
- Support onboarding of applications/use cases into Fed Ops and ensure alignment with enterprise standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation failures, ensuring reliability and operational resiliency
Strong, hands‑on expertise in Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) including:
- Playbook development and optimization
- Job templates and workflow templates
- RBAC and secure execution models
- Integration with external systems (Service Now, APIs, etc.)
Solid scripting skills (Python, Power Shell, or shell scripting)
Experience with event‑driven automation and operational tooling
Strong understanding of infrastructure, application workflows, and incident management processes
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have SkillsExperience with legacy automation/orchestration platforms such as:
- HP Operations Orchestration (HPOO)
- HP Server Automation (HPSA)
Familiarity with migration/modernization efforts from legacy platforms to AAP or other modern orchestration tools [RE:
