IT Business Sr Analyst

Citibank, N.A. seeks an IT Business Senior Analyst for its Tampa, FL location.

Responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. Contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning. Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects and foster communication between business leaders and IT.

Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards and recommend solutions. Support system change processes from requirements through implementation and provide input based on analysis of information. Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and provide user and operational support. Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.

Work as a team to achieve business objectives, performing other duties and functions as assigned. Act as SME to senior stakeholders and other team members. Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations. Adhere to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, and reporting control issues with transparency.

A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer and Information Technology, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation performing system analysis and project management. Five (5) years of experience must include:
Performing system analysis and design skills to define the scope and objectives of complex projects to analyze the system, gather enhancement requests, and document enhancements;
Using UX design principles to perform user research sessions;
Assessing risks and developing mitigation strategies;
Engaging in data analysis for reporting and system integration using database management;
Utilizing Software Development Methods and Object-Oriented Application Development to evaluate the system’s modules, document impact to proposed changes, and monitor development;
Applying advanced technical writing to maintain system documentation and communicate release updates; and Leveraging IT architecture, systems administration, and interface design knowledge to address downstream impacts. In the alternative, Employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, and three (3) years of experience. Employer will accept pre- or post
- Master’s degree experience.
