Role Overview
Loggerhead’s IT team is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge business needs, customer experience, and technical delivery. This role partners with business stakeholders, product owners, UX/UI designers, solution engineers, developers, quality assurance teams, and external vendors to define effective technology solutions. The ideal candidate can lead to functional requirements analysis across user interfaces, workflows, business rules, data, systems, and integrations while also interpreting API specifications and documenting the requirements used to design new or updated APIs.

Success in this role requires strong functional analysis, technical aptitude, user-centered thinking, precise documentation, sound judgment, and clear communication. The Technical Business Analyst must be comfortable moving between customer and business needs, UI/UX workflows, and detailed system and integration requirements while identifying gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Business and Functional Analysis: Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, nonfunctional, data, UI/UX, system, and integration requirements.
- Translate business goals, customer needs, workflows, and data needs into clear requirements, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, process maps, data maps, and other delivery artifacts.
- Facilitate discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, workflow reviews, and solution-design discussions to understand current-state challenges and define future-state experiences.
- Document business rules, system behavior, screen requirements, field definitions, validations, user interactions, permissions, notifications, and exception scenarios.
- Ensure requirements are complete, approved, traceable, testable, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify requirement gaps, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and conflicting stakeholder needs, and drive timely resolution.
- UI/UX and Customer
Experience:
Partner with business stakeholders, designers, developers, and QA teams to define intuitive, accessible, and consistent user experiences. - Create or contribute to user flows, journey maps, wireframes, screen annotations, prototypes, and functional specifications for customer-facing and internal applications.
- Evaluate proposed designs against business objectives, user needs, functional requirements, usability principles, accessibility expectations, and technical constraints.
- Define interface behavior for navigation, data entry, validation, messaging, errors, responsive layouts, and alternate user paths.
- Participate in design reviews and usability feedback sessions, document decisions, and ensure approved experiences are accurately translated into development requirements.
