Brief SummaryTitle: Product Director
You'll Report To: Senior Vice President of Product and Pricing
We are seeking an experienced and talented Product Director to lead and manage our Florida Personal Lines insurance products. This role will be critical in shaping our product strategy and driving profitable growth within the competitive property insurance market. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in product development, pricing, compliance, market analysis, and an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the Florida’s insurance market.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for Personal Lines to achieve growth and profitability goals.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and implement new product offerings and enhancements.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform product development and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, claims, and marketing teams to ensure product alignment with company objectives.
- Ensure all products comply with state insurance regulations and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant laws.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Establish and track KPIs to measure the success of product initiatives and drive data‑informed decision‑making.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in product management or development within the homeowners insurance industry.
- Experience with a focus on Personal Lines (Florida Personal Lines preferred).
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing insurance products.
- Strong understanding of Florida’s insurance regulations and market dynamics.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with experience managing cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software related to insurance product management.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong computer spreadsheet and database skills: COGNOS and SQL, preferred. Demonstrated ability to learn additional software applications as required.
Schedule: 8:30‑5:30 pm, M‑F. #LI‑Onsite
Working Conditions: Normal business office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for periods of time while constantly operating a computer and or other office productivity machinery such as a calculator or telephone. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery or communicate with coworkers.
Travel: Minimum, as required.
