Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite/Hybrid – based on firm policy)

Salary Range: $75,000 – $80,000 annually

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal with a strong background in construction defect litigation to support our Tampa office. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience supporting attorneys through all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case management, discovery, trial preparation, and client reporting.

• Assist attorneys in handling construction defect insurance defense cases from inception through trial.
• Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and subpoenas.
• Manage case files, maintain litigation calendars, and track deadlines.
• Coordinate and review document productions and discovery materials.
• Summarize depositions, medical records, and construction‑related records.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, experts, and opposing counsel as needed.
• Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness files.
• Support attorneys during mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Maintain billing time entries and assist with case reporting to insurance carriers.

• Minimum 3+ years of Insurance Defense Paralegal experience

• Knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures.
• Experience with litigation management software and e‑filing systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced litigation environment.

• Paralegal Certificate or Associate/Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience working with insurance carriers and adjusters.
• Familiarity with construction terminology, project documentation, and defect claims.
