Attorney

Role Overview:

A well-established Defense litigation-focused law firm in Tampa, FL is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing team. The firm handles sophisticated civil litigation defense matters, with employment law experience preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses
• Conduct depositions and participate in hearings
• Manage case strategy and client communications
• Prepare for and assist with trial proceedings
• Meet a target of 1,900 billable hours (flexibility available as needed)

Must-Have Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation experience
• Employment law experience preferred but not required
• Strong legal writing and research skills
• Experience handling discovery and motion practice
• Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $110,000 – $18,000.

Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Bonus compensation is determined at year-end based on firm performance and individual production.
