Position: Senior Purchaser - Construction Procurement with Security Clearance
MCS is hiring for a Senior Purchaser/ Construction Procurement in Tampa, Florida. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. The Senior Purchaser/ Construction Procurement must demonstrate strong expertise in construction and project-based purchasing, overseeing day-to-day procurement operations to ensure cost efficiency, timely material availability, and uninterrupted project execution. The Senior Purchaser/ Construction Procurement will require excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with Estimating, Project Management, Operations, and vendors to develop competitive quotes, execute buyouts, and strategically source materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.

Typical duties include:
* Provide day-to-day oversight of procurement operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and continuity of supply.
* Lead and coordinate strategic quoting and pricing efforts in support of the Estimating team to deliver competitive, accurate, and market-aligned bids.
* Execute post-award buyouts and strategic sourcing in collaboration with Operations and Project Managers to secure cost-effective materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
* Partner with Project Managers to schedule and phase material deliveries in alignment with project timelines, cash flow, and jobsite logistics.
* Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors, manufacturers, and distributors to maximize pricing advantages, registrations, and rebate opportunities.
* Support company-wide procurement needs, including facilities, maintenance, repairs, and operational supplies.
* Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and applicable regulations to ensure compliant, forward-looking, and cost-effective procurement practices.

Experience:

College Degree preferred. Experience Requirements:
* Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within construction, electrical, or related industries.
* Demonstrated experience developing, evaluating, and implementing purchasing policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency, compliance, and cost management.
* Proven ability to negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions, and to prepare and execute purchase orders, blanket purchase agreements, and vendor contracts.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and tactfully with all levels of the organization, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
* Working knowledge of procurement systems, inventory controls, and contract management practices is strongly preferred. Physical Requirements
