Position: Contract Reviewer (Construction & Contracting)

** Job Description*
* As part of our Global Risk Management team, the  
** Contract Reviewer
** is responsible for supporting the operational business establish contracts with its clients and suppliers, advising on the associated risk to mitigate future litigation.

** Key role requirements*
* + Undertake construction contract reviews

+ Liaise with Professional liability and general insurance brokers to confirm coverage, respond to queries

+ Provide ad hoc contract advice to operational teams and liaise with clients/their legal teams (where requested) to resolve contractual matters

+ Support operational teams through the RM process, help them to resolve issues and get into contract quicker

+ Help to improve risk management tools, systems and processes

+ Work with the operational teams to increase risk management awareness, compliance and capability

+ SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to, where applicable

** Qualifications*
* + Law degree or equivalent legal qualification/experience

+ Minimum 2 years in a corporate construction legal position, with previous experience in reviewing/re-drafting supplier and client construction contracts

+ Strong administrative skillset - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)

+ Experience in contract development, supporting drafting bespoke contract schedules and clauses and reviewing contract documents prepared by others

+ Ability to liaise with and coordinate multiple stakeholders to develop robust contract documents

+ Strong communication skills  

+ Proactive, organized and thorough with a strong work ethic

** Hybrid working out of the Houston T&T office is required two to three days out of the work week.*
