Buyer, Supply Chain​/Logistics

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our growing team in Tampa, FL. This is a fully onsite position responsible for sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely procurement to support manufacturing and operational objectives. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment while balancing cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

• Manage the procurement of raw materials, components, and indirect supplies to support production and business operations.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable delivery schedules.
• Issue purchase orders and monitor order status to ensure on‑time delivery and inventory availability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while evaluating performance related to cost, quality, and service.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Engineering, Inventory, and Operations to forecast purchasing needs and resolve supply issues.
• Analyze inventory levels and purchasing trends to optimize inventory while minimizing excess and shortages.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor information within the ERP system.
• Support new product launches by sourcing materials and coordinating supplier readiness.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and quality standards.
• Prepare purchasing reports, supplier scorecards, and spend analysis for leadership.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.
• Experience negotiating pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, procurement processes, and supply chain operations.
• Experience utilizing ERP or MRP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.

• Experience purchasing for a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of inventory planning, demand forecasting, and supplier performance management.
• APICS/CPIM, CPSM, or other supply chain certification is a plus.
