Team OverviewA&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice serves middle‑market and large‑cap private equity firms, helping portfolio companies improve operating results. The Supply Chain team excels in strategy, transformation, and execution across the end‑to‑end supply chain.

The role requires leading and delivering large, complex client engagements with Private Equity leadership, focusing on innovative business solutions for portfolio companies.
- Acquire a comprehensive view of a client’s supply chain, including manufacturing, distribution, cost structures, and seasonal product flow.
- Develop structured assessments of improvement opportunities and conduct the necessary analysis to define actionable strategies aligned with growth and financial targets.
- Analyze and redesign network design, footprint, and logistics using advanced modeling tools (e.g., Llamasoft) to optimize cost, inventory, and service levels.
- Lead sourcing events for transportation and warehousing, including spend baseline assessment, RFI/RFP management, negotiations, and contracting.
- Evaluate inventory planning processes and suggest improvements to improve service levels and working capital.
- Create detailed transformation plans, including implementation roadmaps and benefit estimates (OPEX, inventory, service delivery).
- Deliver high‑quality deliverables, manage project teams, and maintain strong vendor/client relationships.
- Exhibit both analytical rigor and leadership capability throughout all phases of client engagements.
- Excellent written, oral, and analytical communication.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Structured project management (time, team, and work‑stream).
- Initiative, drive, and critical thinking.
- Ability to deliver on‑time, high‑quality work under pressure.
- Creative and flexible problem solving.
- Client relationship building and presentation skills.
- 10–15+ years of combined consulting and industry operating experience.
- Leadership roles in Supply Chain, Distribution, or Logistics preferred.
- Hands‑on distribution and logistics analysis or advisory experience.
- Deep expertise in network optimization, transportation and warehouse sourcing, 3PL operations, production and inventory planning.
- Experience modeling supply chains with tools such as Llamasoft.
- Strong fact‑gathering and quantitative analysis skills.
- Travel flexibility as required by projects.
