Purchasing Agent - QuickBooks

Job Description

Position Summary

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for managing day-to-day purchasing activities, including processing and monitoring purchase orders, maintaining vendor information, coordinating material requirements, and working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure materials are available when needed.

Location: Tampa (In person)

Pay: $24-28/hr.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Key Responsibilities

• Create, issue, and monitor purchase orders from placement through delivery
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, order updates, and delivery timelines
• Maintain organized and accurate purchasing records and supplier information
• Monitor inventory requirements and initiate reorders as needed
• Investigate and resolve purchasing discrepancies, shipping concerns, and invoice issues
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, and administrative teams to meet daily material and operational requirements
• Enter and maintain purchasing data within company systems
• Perform general administrative duties, including filing, recordkeeping, and document management

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with pipes, valves, and fittings (PVF) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Quick Books purchasing experience is required
