Biomedical Equipment Technician I - Tampa, FL
Tuesday to Saturday, 2:30 AM to 11:00 AM
Pay range: $20.10+ per hour; shift differential 10% second shift, 15% third shift.
Annual performance bonus compensation may be received.

- Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibrations of laboratory equipment.
- Maintains documentation of service performed in accordance with licensing and accreditation agencies.
- Maintains physical inventory of key equipment repair parts.
- Assists in preparing location for new equipment, ensuring all requirements met (e.g., water, cooling, electrical).
- Installs and tests new equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Assists in instructing laboratory personnel on proper use of instruments.
- Assists in maintaining calibration equipment used on laboratory equipment.
- Assists in coordinating outside service requirements to ensure timely repairs.
- Assists in monitoring work performed by outside service organizations.

Physical and Mental Requirements:- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs and at times assist the Biomedical Engineers in moving equipment.

- Requires a logical thought process, accountability, physical dexterity, and the ability to clearly/effectively communicate with team members and lab personnel outside the department.
